The first floor will be a dead end (removing the elevator on the right side for that). It will be the main gaurd room for defense after the gate. The only 3 wide power plant i have, is on the 1st floor.
Especially since you can later convert food/water rooms to Nuka Cola rooms as they produce both food and water. Power rooms are what you will need more of than either of the other rooms. My newer vault is a little smaller than yours and I already have two tripple wide power rooms and have been strength training dwellers to emprove effency. Even just a couple of guys in there can make a huge difference in the amount of energy you produce. It's that you suggested to me ? You need dwellers in both of those power rooms because your vault will use up power faster than you can produce it with only one being manned. Total storage < 300, safer than previous about incidents 1 power room (size 3) with 0 dwellers just to increase storage 1 power room (size 1) with 2 dwellers (production)
1 power room (size 3) with 0 dwellers (storage) 1 power room (size 3) with 4 dwellers (production) In survival, having only 2 dwellers in merged x3 room = death for sure. To increase storage capacity i just build empty production rooms. Having 2 dwellers in each such room works better then 4 in just one room because this way increases your storage capability and they still produce resources when you close the game.
